How viable is a bachelor's in entertainment and multimedia computing (BSEMC)?
So yesterday I enrolled into SHS for electrical engineering without much research and then my family told me to actually check on what I want to do because I'm gonna be doing it my whole life
I don't find electrical engineering horrible (I can build a passion towards it) but I found that bsmec is closer to what I want to do in life (I always wanted to be a game developer since I was in kindergarten 🙏) pero how viable is it in practice? What's the job market environment like with bsmec? If things go bust is this degree viable in other jobs outside of the entertainment industry?
I'm torn between electrical and emc, one has a ton of opportunities and is safe and the other one is what I'm truly passionate about, I can go for electrical while learning game dev on the side (I already have some experience in game development)
I still have time to swap my electives but I wanna know if I should, I don't want to leave myself with a useless degree
