Trying random shared co-op

I've been trying some random shared co-op, starting on a low level character and working my way through other people's worlds. After co-oping a while they usually kick you, as if you were doing non-shared lol. Screw me I guess. So then i'll restart ng0 if I don't like the place they're at (for my level) or their modifiers, and so on. It's fun and really kind of funny. I've been getting summoned way more often for shared than non shared, but as I said the host will kick me after we beat a boss or a level or so.

Do people not know the difference btw shared/non at all??! Can they not read 😭 This must screw a lot of people over, like, constantly?

Anyone else had experience with this?

Has anyone tried this? It sounds really fun. Whenever you get good enough rolls to get past the opening of the game, I'm sure it's fairly doable right? Anyway, who wants to do this on shared co-op. Hmu.

Just did my first playthrough with rad/str build and radiance ending. I want to do umbral ending though, so I thought I'd do ng+. Some questions:

-will I get a chance to pick up any of the quintessences I missed?

-what is a different build that might be fun to respec into? I used ravager's and the busted charge attack eye. Usually I play dex bleed builds in soulslikes. Though I do enjoy a good greatsword

-i guess I played on normal mode, but I meant to select veteran. Can I change to veteran for ng+? How?

-does anyone want to co-op a little bit on ng+? I'm on PC, level 105 or so

Many thanks
