Hi, I know this is a common question but I feel like I keep seeing slightly different answers. I'm wondering if it's possible to travel to the UK for a few days while waiting for my first permesso card.
- I have a US passport
- I'm currently in Italy and arrived 4 months ago on a type D study visa that is still valid and has MULT on it
- I did my fingerprinting already, and am waiting for the card to be ready (the questura put a stamp on my ricevuta at the appointment)
- I'd be flying directly between Italy and London
So essentially is having a valid long-stay visa with the ricevuta enough to reenter Italy, and is this something Ryanair would give me a problem with? From what I've read it seems like it should be fine, but is there anything I can print out that would help me in the case they give me a problem?
