I don’t know how to word this appropriately, I’m a new UTAU user and am wanting to make UTAU covers, but I know like little to nothing about music or notes and have no clue how to match the vocal notes in songs.
Like if they’re singing in notes: A->B->#F->G (this is js a random example) I don’t know how to tell when they’re singing in those notes because its not laid out for me.
I’ve been on Online Sequencer and have looked at songs put in Piano Roll covers, but they don’t help me and I can never find one just for vocals. I’ve seen some downloadable MIDI’s for vocals but I don’t usually like to download stuff and they dont always have what I want.
I’m just wondering what everyone else does when making covers, do you play it by ear or is there some popular secret resource that I cant find?
Sorry if this sounds weird, I don’t know how the terms for all of this😭
