It's Not Your Faith that Saves You
It is not the strength of your faith that saves you, but the faithfulness of Christ.
“Christ loved me and gave Himself for me.”
— Galatians 2:20
And as Paul says:
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
— Galatians 2:20
Several renown Bible scholars note the phrase can be better translated not merely “faith in the Son of God,” but “the faithfulness of the Son of God” — emphasizing that our salvation rests finally not on perfect human striving, but on Christ’s unwavering trust, obedience, and covenant faithfulness.
Our hope is not:
“Have I believed enough?”
Our hope is:
“He has been faithful.”
