Are there any issues I should look out for? Any problems with the engine? Im trying to convince myself not to just splurge and go straight to the 1300, but I’m planning to use the bike for long distance trips, not really off road stuff. I also plan to use it around my city and towards my school, which is in the Philippines. Im kinda young so i think the 1300 is a bit overkill.

I’m planning to get either one of these bikes. I wanna get opinions from other people on which one to get. Im trying to ask as well for advice from people who own either or both, what are the issues or problems you have with these bikes?

These are things I have to consider:

1. The major price difference
2. My goal with this bike is for long trips, not really loops but just long drives in different places around visayas and mindanao.
3. Im kinda young? (24years old) and i still go to school so maybe i’ll occasionally bring it as well and drive it around the city.
4. Also considering the maintenance costs for both and the 1300 really is more expensive.
5. I came from a zx6r so im kinda into spirited riding. This bike is more on my tourer and all around bike that can handle anything.
6. Honestly I think the 1300 is kinda of an overkill for me at the moment. But at the same time i feel as though this bike is what they call “end game” so theres nothing to upgrade to.
7. The parts and accessibility, for this bike i dont want to really upgrade anything else like an exhaust. I’ll maybe just get a top box for my stuff.

If you guys had to choose which one would you get?
