Hey everyone! So, I just snagged a pre-built gaming PC from Scan, and it seems like a decent build it has a 5070 and a 7500X3D. But here's the thing, it only comes with 16 gigs of DDR5 RAM. they have an upgraded version with 16 gig more RAM, same specs otherwise, for £1750. I was thinking, instead of shelling out that much, I could just grab another 16 gig stick of RAM for about £130. Does that sound like a good plan for 1440p gaming? I'm mainly looking to hit around 120 FPS in games like Call of Duty, and maybe 60 FPS for more demanding titles like The Last of Us, all at 1440p. I want to be able toup the settings to max \ high , but I'm not really bothered about ray tracing – I'd probably just turn that off anyway. My main goal is just super smooth, uninterrupted gameplay. I actually looked into building one myself, even though I've never done it before. Just getting the parts seems to cost around £1250 to £1300 anyway. So, I figure I'm only paying an extra £50-£100 to get it pre-built, and then you get the warranty and everything, plus it's tested. I'd really love to hear what you guys think, because I'm wondering if it's worth splashing out more. I was eyeing up the 570ti version that comes with a 9800 X3D and 32 gigs of RAM incase it was needed it's £1950 for that though buth honestly, I don't think I'll even need all that for what I do also I have 2 monitors that cap at 120hz ask use them for work they have upstream abilities etc and ips black etc
