Question about making alts

Hey guys. I hit level 25 earlier and I’m having such a great time. I want to try making another class and leveling with it and eventually going to the expansion, similar to the journey with my main.

Do I have to go through the entire dragonflight story? Should I wait to make an alt until I finish on my main? I know people have lots of characters but I’m confused on how they do that. Wouldn’t it get really repetitive going through the same stuff? Or do you only level using dungeons

Visiting other worlds/continents?

I just started playing a few days ago and I’m having a great time leveling on dragon isles. However I’ve never visited the horde capitol city or any other region in WOW.

Can someone explain to me what the overall loop of the game is? Do people not typically visit the other regions?

For some reason I thought WOW would have quests that take you to different worlds/regions but I hear dragon flight is designed to basically get me close to max level -> current dlc. Which is fine but I didn’t know if there was decent gear and unlockables in other regions that I’d miss out on

MMO mouse struggles

I know it’ll take some getting used to but I struggle to reach 7-12 buttons on the side of my mouse. I’m a lower level character so as of right now I just use 1-6 then shift 1-6 and CTRL 1-6 for a total of 18 buttons. Is there a trick to getting used to the 7-12 or is it just muscle memory?

I have to curl my thumb so that the tip of my thumb presses those and I find it difficult. Let me know please if anyone has a video or tips. Thank you
