Hey all, I'm 27 years old and after a pretty bad experience in my original career last fall, I've decided to take up Nursing as my father has been wanting me to go back to school for it.

My current (and only immediate option) is Smith Chason in LA for their ADN program. It's unfortunately pretty costly as its overall tuition is $85k. I wanted to make this post to ask around to see if anyone here can recommend going out of state for nursing? I tried going through CCs for LVN programs but unfortunately a lot of these are greatly impacted. I was hoping to find a program like Smith Chason that only requires the TEAS exam or something similar.

I heard other states offer ADN/BSN programs at a more affordable rate and was hoping to see if anyone has any recommendations for out of state programs from a California resident. If it helps, I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology. My current line of work has basically been in biopharma/clinical labs, but since last Fall I've just been wanting to do this career switch.

Any help and input would be greatly appreciated.
