Recently installed Hawk ceramic pads on my G80 M3 (about 1,500 km on them, so basically still new). Since the install, the front brakes have been squealing quite a bit compared to OEM pads. I also noticed some rust/surface oxidation on the edge/back of the pad area (not the rotor friction surface itself).
Is this normal for Hawk ceramics / aftermarket pads on these cars, or could it be due to improper bedding or old OEM transfer layer left on the rotors? Any recommendations if I should even replace the fronts?
