I know this has been somewhat discussed lately in general, but particularly in regards to jazz, what do you think about the music of Al?

I know the music is publicly acclaimed and it even won itself 10 Grammy awards, but asking specifically about the more jazzier records like the "Look to the rainbow", a love supreme, 1977 live album or the 1975 "We got by" studio debut and the use of scat, which some, including me, find just ordinarily gross, throughout the artistic output of the great musician?
