How urgent??
I noticed my dog shaking his head a bit a day or so ago. My initial look I really didn’t see anything but today I really opened his ear up and go better look. I was shocked when I really opened the folds by his ear to see this. I initially thought yeast infection but after researching I believe it’s likely ear mites. He just came from a weekend at doggy daycare.
I am going to take him to the vet. However, because of various circumstances I don’t have a car for another 3 days. Is taking him to the vet in the next 3-5 days ok??
There’s no smell really, no discharge, and otherwise his behavior is normal. He’s sensitive when I was looking at it and whimpered once but allowed me to look and touch.
Edit to add: I sent this an other photos to the vet and asked what if anything I should do to provide some relief in the meantime. Will call in the AM.
