I just opened Instagram to see what was new, only to have this reel suddenly pop up in my face.
I have no idea who the marketing team is targeting with this or what the point even is. If the goal was to get people talking, they succeeded—but definitely not in a good way.
As a huge fan of Nothing’s devices and their unique design language, I really appreciate the work they do, but this marketing is getting out of hand. No one wants public nudity or "brainrot" content to be the face of their favorite brand. It feels like they're trading their premium, community-focused image for cheap shock value.
it’s always jarring when a brand you admire for its "clean" and "thoughtful" aesthetic pivots to something that feels like cheap shock value or "brainrot" just to chase engagement. It feels like they're sacrificing the very identity that made you a fan in the first place.
Am I the only one who feels this way, or is the "Nothing" vibe actually shifting into something else?
