Job referral
Looking to transition from IHS to VA. I am almost 3 yrs in with IHS but I have decided to leave due to extremely toxic work environment. I am also relocating and had applied to several different jobs. I have actually accepted a job at a private practice that I have worked at before in the very beginning of my career as a dental assistant. I would work 4 days a week having Fridays off. This office has gone corporate since I was last employed there but some of the same people I worked with over 26 yrs ago are still there. Today I received notice that my application for a VA job has been referred to hiring manager and I’m feeling a bit perplexed on what to do. Is the VA a good place to work? Just looking for advice on whether I would still be working in terrible environment. I really wanted to stay in federal employment for the benefits but I’m not sure if overall mental and emotional wellbeing if worth the sacrifice. TIA
