Just posting this to get over it and be able to fall back to sleep.
We were travelling and were given a room to sleep in which was just our interior design style. We then visited my aunt and helped her build something it the battery of my circular saw died but that wasn’t a problem as we had to leave anyway to visit my grandmother (who had a stroke in real live and lives close to my real aunt) so I took the key to lock the door which didn’t work for some reason.
It then became clear that we were in a an active war zone just like I imagine the cities of Ukraine. I could hear machine guns and explosions in the far background, the city seemed safe enough though. Nighttime came and my grandmother (who was healthy in my dream) and I wanted to go upstairs to the highest floor which was about 4-5 floors. We could use the light as to not give away our position. My grandma was trying the different light switches for the staircase anyway and found some dimmed lights which we deemed to be perfect. I also used my mobiles flashlight to guide her. My wife stayed downstairs and waited for us.
Next my grandmother and I stepped onto a balcony und looked into the distance. There were explosions everywhere. I looked into the sky above me and it was filled with a mixture of northern lights and the light of the exploding bombs. I remember telling my grandma how beautiful that was after which she went inside to go to the toilet or something. There I was looking into the sky thinking how dangerous but beautiful the sky was. Suddenly I heard someone with a Eastern European accent saying my name from the distance as to make sure it was us and not to raid the building. I said yes. Right in that moment I could feel a massive explosion in my entire body. I immediately new my wife was killed. Someone asked for my name to be sure my wife was in the building so she could be killed and I just obliged. I went downstairs and saw her dead body, her body was burned and I could see her facial expression. I looked down the hallway and saw two young men running away. One looked back at me, he was blonde and laughed. He killed my wife for fun
I woke up breathing heavily, my entire body covered in sweat. My wife lays beside me snoring, but for me this night is over.
