Hello finance community,

I’m a senior student with about two terms (8mon) to go before graduating, I’m from a Canadian uni that’s semi target ish within the country. I have a pair of big4 audit and big Canadian bank cap mkts internships under my belt, and will be doing a middle/back office type role at a us hedge fund in the summer. I grad end of 2026.

I’ve admittedly not thought seriously about fulltime recruitment until now and realize things may look tough if I don’t get return offers from any of the above (I’m ineligible for big4 because I don’t have all accounting courses needed for cpa).

Ik this may sound flat but I don’t have any particular career goals super set out yet nor any real direction as there are so many options out there. A very vague goal I do have is getting a spot somewhere that sits in the finance industry and gives me real growth opportunities in my career. Everything else is still up in the air.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone has some direction they could give me here. I’ve still got a couple weeks from here before the summer gig where my schedule is wide open and I’m wondering how best I can use it for my situation. I’ve mostly just been using it to reach out to old profs and colleagues and mass apply, but nothing of it yet.
