Anyone have any ideas on what this noise could be? I hear it mainly when I’m driving and stopped at red lights, and the sound even continues when I put the car in park and turn the car off… it only stops when the car lights/electronics fully turn off. Sometimes the sound starts when I unlock the doors (prior to starting the engine). It is not all the time, and sometimes changes in the frequency. You may have to listen closely to the video, it’s the constant humming sound (not the clicking).
For background: I bought this car new, runs fine otherwise, no check engine light on, no previous problems and I routinely take it in for maintenance. Sound started about 6-8 months ago and when I brought it up during my last oil change the dealership said the car is expected “to make noises when it turns on/off” and didn’t seem too worried since no check engine lights were on, but at the time the sound was less frequent and wasn’t actually happening in the shop.
