[NC] Should I let HR know that colleagues compensation reports are public? Feeling underpaid and undervalued.

I work remotely and recently discovered the compensation reports for multiple co-workers in our company’s public folder. Being nosy, I clicked through a few and it made me mad to see how much less I am being paid compared to most of my colleagues. To note, it’s a small company that has people across the country who work remotely and the colleagues who’s compensation I saw do have different jobs and responsibilities, but it makes me feel extremely underpaid and undervalued as I work between multiple departments and wear a lot of hats for the company. I had to fight for an annual raise more than 2% back in the fall and don’t have another compensation recognition planned until this fall when my performance review happens.

My question- should I email hr to let them know that colleagues compensation reports are in the public folder? secondly, should I use this as information to try to get a raise? Im upset by how underpaid i’m being and am feeling resentful since learning how much others are paid. Any advice is appreciated
