My doctors office has some rule that you can only ask for an early xywav refill I think twice in a year. I asked for one an early refill a few months ago and they said no because of that rule. I’ve been on Xyrem or xywav for about 15 years. I’m due for a refill Sunday…they obviously don’t send medication out on Sunday. So without an early refill they’ll send it Monday for Tuesday delivery.
I’m requesting it be sent Friday for a Saturday delivery because it’s just way more convenient getting it delivered on a Saturday when I’ll be home all day. My parents are moving next week and it’s a pain for me to have to stay home and wait for it since they’ll need my help. Plus, the nearest FedEx shipping center is about 20 minutes from me.
Any advice if my doctor’s advice denies the early refill?
