Genuinely where are you guys finding tech brands to pitch to?

And don't tell me Sideshift or Masterhooks. Those are predominantly CANVAS UGC sites. I'm looking for tech brands willing to invest in regular UGC but they're hard to find.

I know there's a lot of earning potential in Canvas UGC and I'm definitely interested. But the only reason I don't want to prioritise it right now is because I have an old android phone and sometimes, when I post on my own TikTok, I get constructive criticism about my camera quality.

And I'm like "Dude, I already know my quality's bad, it's not my phone cameras fault (my quality's actually decent). TT and IG just aren't optimised for most android devices unless it's a flagship. So the quality gets compressed as soon as it uploads."

And I can't do UGC in other niches because I live in an African country where UGC opportunities are scarce. I'm trying my best but it seems like everyone wants to gatekeep where they find clients.

Can anyone offer advice. It would especially be helpful to get it from someone who started in a similar situation or has students who did.

EDIT: I need to clear up a few things.

When I said most android devices aren't optimised for social media, I meant when I post the video on social media, the SM app compresses the video, making the quality worse.

This happens to ALL smartphones but androids are known for having a worse experience with this.

Read this article to understand why this happens to android smartphones even though the cameras may be good quality.

The other part I want to clarify:

I know I could benefit from investing in an iPhone or flagship android which has a much better camera quality. I've never denied the benefit of that and I'm already saving up for a better phone.

I just don't currently have the financial means to just get up and go buy an iPhone rn. If I could, I would've a long time ago.

Also most Americans have this perception that all android phones have bad quality cameras. But it's only the cheap ones. Flagship phones sometimes even have better quality than iPhones. There's a reason why Mark Zuckerberg has a Galaxy S24Ultra instead of a 17 Pro Max. The world doesn't revolve around Apple.

Hope that clears things up.
