English teachers using AI to mark?
As a teacher who also tutors, I'm becoming concerned. So, is anyone noticing these patterns?
- Subheadings and dotpoints for feedback (ironic here I know)
- Phrases like "genuinely original" or "philosophically serious" or "consistent"
- Odd requests to check the criteria, when the teacher should already know
- Corrections limited to typed instructions to check specific sentences, "garbled" phrasing etc
- Referring to you in the third person
Just wondering.
edit: also the absence of things which you'd normally associate with a real teacher. Phrasing like, "I think you could try/consider doing X" etc
