All these .5/.7 patches adding a vendor with a special currency and a shitone of things to collect, the constant fomo of the game with the tenders and all other missable rewards and the absurd pricing of ingame goods (75 dollars for a dumb treehouse, are we for real? You can buy another game with this kind of money. You can't price some pixels and an entire game the same.) really feel especially designed just to keep a person like me subbed.
The game demands my involvement but doesn't target my satisfaction.
I can't stop thinking that the people who design this game just try to invent new ways to trap me or extend my staying in an endless cycle of grinding.
Yes, it's fun to collect stuff, especially if you have the Allthethings addon and a nice bell rings whenever you collect something, but doing again and again the same thing, with little variety, so many times, until you collect everything is just a chore.
I don't like being treated like a customer or even worse, like a wallet. I want to be treated like a gamer. And gamers want to play. Stop offering me endless grinds, offer me something to play and have fun.
Guess that's enough for me. The freaking treehouse broke me. That was my tipping point. Cheers to whoever can genuinely still enjoy this game, but I should start buying other games.
