Hello everyone,

I know a 3.44 is not a big difference from 3.5, but it really is to me. Thankfully, I recalculated my GPA and saw I am sitting at 3.44 right now. I really regret taking college classes while I was in high school. I was going through something, and my grades have really tanked my GPA. I guess now I would really like people's advice on whether I could potentially get accepted into med school without taking a post bacc or master's. (Btw, a post bacc would not be helpful to my situation; I have taken a lot of college credits 😞

So please be honest with me as I mention my experiences. BTW, I have not taken the MCAT and will be taking it in August.

Health science degree: 3.44 GPA, 3.31 SGPA

Clinical hours: 5,000 +

420 hrs of research, both in a wet lab and a clinical setting.

6 posters, 3 presentations (one being at NCUR)

260 hrs of volunteering (nonclinical)

Was a reviewer for a university research journal.

Leadership experience: Club board member for 1 year

Shadowing hours: 30 gyno, gastro, internal med (I know it's not much)

I am hopefully planning to apply next year since I am taking the MCAT in August and would like to get more research opportunities and shadowing hours. Please be brutal and honest.
