Any info?

My wife’s grandpa bought this watch during world war 2 or sometime in the early 40s. The band is obviously not original (I would have to do some digging to track down the original band) and is gold and Alaskan jade purchased in 1960s Alaska. It’s an alarm watch, which I didn’t know that was a thing. It is fully operational and recently serviced. You can see in the pictures the original box, card and everything are still intact.

He passed years ago and I was curious if anyone knew anything about it? It’s worth, the brands history or anything really?

I’m knew the addiction of watches but have a rapidly growing collection (two daily drivers) and have been lurking in this group for awhile now. Thanks in advance!

PS: the “NDR” on the back are his initials, and I have no idea what the numbers (386-17-78) would be.
