I just ordered this first edition 1885 cook book (seen in the photo above), it hasn't arrived yet since I ordered it today. I usually try to avoid green 19th century books because of arsenic, yes I'm aware not all green books have it, but even with ones I am 90% sure don't have it because of the shade of green and being made near the end of arsenic being used I'd rather be safe then sorry. I really don't want a book to arrive then I realise it contains arsenic. So with this one I ordered it not really giving any thought to the fact that it is green, I'm like 80% sure it doesn't have arsenic but wanted to see what you guys think. Should I be worried about it? I intend on using it in my kitchen so I want to be extra safe. Thanks in advance!
