(US)Scammed by indeed job posting EYEKNOWN.COM
So I was looking for a job on indeed and I found a posting for a customer service rep for a crypto exchange site called eyeknown.com where they offered 30 an hour. I reached out and was asked to join a zoom call with several other people who with a presentation that looked very legit. Afterwards I was given a few assessments to take and was hired with no formal interview or training.
So my main task was to verify orders and to verify client identities. I have now come to learn that these "orders" were ai generated and the id's were most likely stolen info. However in my first week the site went down several times and I was told it was due to DDOS attacks but when I tried to email my "manager" I got an error saying the email didn't exist
However the real red flags didn't pop up until I was trying to get paid. They transferred my first paycheck into another crypto site called trustflow.hk which I have come to learn is a fake site. When I tried to transfer the crypto to my cashapp I was told I needed to make a deposit of 400 to "verify" my account. This seemed a little off but I was naive and tried to make that deposit luckily for me cashapp flagged the transfer so i didn't lose $400.
Just to wrap up if it sounds to good to be true then it isn't true
