Hey,

I made a Fidelity account yesterday to eventually rollover my Roth IRA from EJ to Fidelity. Most likely doing it this Monday.

Can I just do a transfer and then put it all in VT? Then continue making my monthly 625 contributions?

Is there something else I should be looking at besides VT? I want it to be simple and leave it alone for about 40 years without worrying about it.

I’m also doing an in kind transfer for my brokerage account. Hopefully that goes smoothly as well. Thank you!

Hey,

I have a taxable brokerage account and Roth IRA with Edward Jones. My advisor quit EJ and I was notified by a message on the app from the new advisors assistant.

To me, this is stupid. I’m not a millionaire or anything crazy. Maybe 100k with them total. I’m set on rolling over both accounts to Fidelity on Monday.

Do I rollover my IRA and just do something simple like 100% VTI and still make my $625 monthly contributions? For brokerage, can I keep my individual stocks we picked out, just transfer and continue on my path?

I can watch YouTube on how to do it, but want to get some assurance that it’s a better decision.
