Betta help
I woke up this morning to feed my fish and noticed this on his side. It was not there yesterday night when I went to turn off the light and do his last feeding. I am not sure what happened or what it is. I just need help deciding whether to help or if I should just let it heal on its own, or if it is an infection. Or if something is wrong with my tank. I did a water change on Monday. I checked my water today and everything is normal. At least according to the test strips I use.
Tank size: 10 gallon
Heater and filter? Yes both
Tank temperature: 78 degrees

How long have you had the tank? 5 months
How long have you had your fish?: 5 months
How often are water changes? I try for every week if not every other week
How much do you take out per change? 2-3 gallons
What is your process?:
Any tankmates? 4 african dwarf frogs 2 shrimp and my Betta.
What do you feed: I feed blood worms. I target feed all animals in tank the Betta eats for about a minute and swims away when done.
Decorations and plants in the tank: all live plants. And on Birchwood and 2 moss caves
