Ikea inspired side table

Early project of mine. The idea was to mimic an IKEA table pair we already had, see last 2 photos, as shipping was high especially for just one item. It was a success, but not as pretty. I went with pine board to minimize cuts. I predilled holes as I am close to the edges. I did beading blocks as I didn't trust an end grain only connection.

Lesson learned

- pine board is really soft, it it easy to over drill recessed pilot holes and screws. (That's why they're is so many screws.)

-draw a line to layout screws

-I could cap them, but I wish to leave the ability to disassemble.
