To the 2 people who may or may not have kept up with this, I took him to the vet. They said this is definitely plucking, which could be a result of hormones, a super big molt and hes just taking out all of the big feathers before they come in, or bordome. They said no physical issues, and he is just going through his first big molt. She said it could be a little bit of boredom but thats something I can fix fast. She said the diet I have him on is good and the feeding rotation shouldn’t be changed. So to sum it up. He’s just molting heavily and possibly going through the hormonal season.

I noticed this when I got home from work. Is this plucking, or molting? My GCC is around 9-10 months old. He was on a mostly seed-veggie diet and I switched it when I noticed he stopped eating as much. I then bought pellets to try and transition him out of eating loads of seeds. As of today. He is going on a pellet-veggie diet with seeds thrown in to transition him out of eating them. I also plan on buying new toys for him and eventually taking him to the vet soon. Any comments/criticisms are welcome.
