Hello! Tomorrow is the monthly meeting of the Order of the Easter Star local chapter and I am hoping on going over there before they have their meeting to meet members as I am interested in joining. Any advice? Or, please let me know if this is the wrong approach and I should wait to have permission to go.

additional info: I don't know anyone there yet, am a woman whose great grandpa was a master mason, its a Florida lodge, am quite nervous

edit: it must have been cancelled, nobody showed up to the lodge ):

Hello! I have sent a letter to the address I saw on the Florida OES website for my local lodge and am awaiting a response. I was wondering what sorts of things would be red flags for them to not accept someone who is interested? Is there anything I can do to improve my chances at getting them to like me (as a woman)?

Hello! I was hoping to join the Order of the Easter Star (as a woman) because I am interested in community service and bettering myself with a supportive community. My great grandfather was a Master Mason, and my great grandmother was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, however they are both deceased. My parents are not religious and mock me for pursuing faith and involving them would cause a lot of embarrassment on my behalf. Any advice?
