Hi electrical experts,

Just looking for opinions on a couple of things.

  1. I have one washroom that the electrician wired so that the light switch must be turned on in order for the fan to work. He says the contractor told him to do it that way. Do you think it's because it's cheaper to do it that way? Were they avoiding something? Miswiring?
  2. The GFCI outlet next to my fridge trips when I plug in my Keurig but it works fine when I plug in an air fryer.
  3. Dimmer switch does not dim, it goes from bright to slightly brighter at max. The lights installed are dimmable. What kind of wiring issue could this be?
  4. One pot light in the basement that has an epileptic seizure after being on for a few minutes. Swapped the light fixture but I suppose it could be the junction box? What are the odds it's wiring.

Then after settling into the house two kitchen receptacles no longer have power. Could just be faulty products...

FYI - the house was a complete rewire due to a fire that happened with a previous owner before the house flippers bought it. They failed 2 inspections by ESA before passing. I was provided a certificate of acceptance when I bought the house.
