My grandmother is an elderly disabled woman with my mother as her full time caretaker. She has owned the condo for 10+ years and has never experienced any pest issues. Recently a new tenant moved in above her and brought with her a nasty infestation of German cockroaches. They are now everywhere in the building, including the common areas such as lobby, hallways, and laundry room even in broad daylight. The HOA has received multiple complaints with no avail. I recently pressed them for how they’re spending their money because they keep requesting a special assessment and claiming they have no money in reserves. I was told today that they currently only possess $498. Is there any legal actions I can take? They are not being cooperative at all. Any information would help immensely, I’m at my wit’s end with this HOA.
