MBA Prospects

How strong of an MBA candidate would you say this profile (my best friend) is for M7/top 5–7 schools? I think his job experience and overall suitability would speak volumes but curious for your thoughts.

- Early mid 20s UMass Amherst grad with around a 3.6ish GPA.
- 3 years experience in Vanguard/mainly Fidelity financial analyst/investment-focused roles. 2 promotions in 3 years
- Strong interest in investing, markets, and long-term business leadership
- Analytical/quantitative skill set combined with strong communication and social skills
- Competitive, disciplined, and ambitious personality
- Comes across confident and polished in conversations/interviews
- Father went to Harvard, but didn’t graduate? Not a legacy?? Not fully sure how that works
- some mentorship volunteer experience with Big brother big sister foundation, as well as work in other charitable foundations in New England

Assuming strong test scores and solid execution on essays/interviews, what MBA tier would you realistically put this profile in?
