I am really interested in musical theatre as a hobby, and recently asked my mom for singing lessons. However, since my grandmother is an opera singer, she said why don't I ask her. My grandmother has offered to give me lessons before, and I'm really grateful as I would not have to pay her compared to if I had a different teacher.

I'm just having some doubts on if she would be a good teacher for me. I tried one lesson with her, and it was interesting (we didn't do much). It's also quite hard to schedule when to do the lessons as she might not be feeling well (sorta often) and I'm busy with school. Also since she's family, I'm a bit more intimidated to sing in front of her, and also what if she isn't 100% honest with feedback because I'm her granddaughter?

I am probably just overthinking this, but I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks! :)
