Help! Trying to find an AO3 dystopian (ish) RH I read last year!
…desperately trying to remember the name of title I read on AO3. I had originally found it recommended on here last year - but after several hours (over a few days) combing through AO3 and this thread… figured it was time to admit defeat and make a Reddit account to ask for help 😩
Unfortunately I can’t remember much, so I know it’s a bit of a shot in the dark - but my brain is convinced if I read the blurb I’ll instantly recognize it 🤦♀️
what I can remember:
* dystopian / alternate universe vibes where poly family units/multiple mates is the norm (kind of like a fated bonds universe situation?)
* FMC’s parents are dead/missing so she was adopted by another family as a child (possibly they knew her bio family and then took her in?)
* FMC is not planning on bonding anyone / was going to choose something else (like I think there was a government option to opt out) but then right before she can, she discovers she has a bond - she’s super reluctant/unhappy about it
* at least one (if not two) of her bonds end up being her adopted/foster brothers - pretty sure one of them she thought didn’t like her anymore but it’s because when he started feeling pulled towards her he moved away from home to get distance from her - and then most of the rest of her bonds are their friends, but then I think more show up later on?
* it was unfinished when I read it
I know it’s not a lot to go on, but if any of this sounds familiar to any you I’d be very grateful for your ideas of what it might be! Or also ideas of how to find it on A03 without scrolling through thousands of stories 😅
