Sorry for the long post but kindof using this as both a search for other peoples experience and insight and also a bit of a brain dump

Recently diagnosed female 30 going through the process of trying to find the right dose for medication using vyvance and top ups of dexanphetamine.

Today I went up from 40 vyvance to 60, i found it wore off in similar time (around 5 hours) however i wasnt sure if the taper would take longer and didnt top up with dex until i hit the crash however its not really stopped all the crahs symptoms i was getting. The fuzzy foggy out of it feeling, some occasional moments of tingles in face and ears and feelimg really disoriented.

Is this a sign the vyvance was too high and i should go back to the 40?

I feel like the 40 wasnt really effective and I was only able to feel the support briefly for the maybe 1 hour at the peak, i was aware of it and still had some physical symptoms of the crash ( namely more of an overwhelm and shutdown) but did not feel the level of peace and calm I am hoping for.

When i initially started I was hesitant with starting on a long acting as I am a mother and realistically cannot risk being out of action for 8-12 hours so started on dex 2-3 times day (10mg each time), i found those were such peaceful days.

For how busy our days are I honestly would prefer if I could have a long acting for the majority of the day and then top up the end of the daytime when needed rather than 3 doses a day.

Are these symptoms that might just be because of it being the first day or is it too high?

I dont really want to just go straight back down to the 40 if i dont have to because it felt too low.

Not sure on the specifics of the conversions but having 30 total dex through the day seemed to really hit a perfect spot of supporting emotional regulation, make initiating tasks easy enough to actually just do them and give some calm and clarity both internally and externally without taking away from any of who I am to my family.

Sidenote i am also on day 5 of no caffiene as I was worried about the citric acid in my energy drinks breaking down the medication incorrectly, I was previously drinking around 250-300mg of caffiene a day.
