I saw this sign for Harumi sushi and Hibachi on Hesperian last month. Couldn't find any mention online of a Hayward location; all the social media referenced mainly the Livermore one. So I stopped by this morning to scope it out.

This is the former Tomodachi sushi bistro restaurant. It's in the same plaza as the old Toys R Us and Chuck-E-Cheese. The paper on the door is their posted alcohol application, posted early Dec 2025. Sign by the road looks brand new. Hope it opens soon. 🤞😎
