Hello everyone, im very interested in putting a 2016 Sporty 48 complete front end (forks, wheel, tree and stem) on my 2001 1200xl, but Im concerned the change in 2004 will be a problem. Does anyone have any experience with putting newer (post 2004) trees and stems on a pre rubber mount sporty?

I've looked for a conversion kit, but all I find is the 7/8 kits...which makes me think they may be a straight swap.
