My parents are out of town and I’m watching their 6 year old standard poodle. He weighs around 60Ibs. They told me he’s had an upset stomach for a couple days. They gave him Pepcid I think on Thursday and then found some in date Propectalin at their house that they gave him yesterday morning. Last night I gave him 3 Propectalin. I did not see his bowel movement this morning before I left for work around 7:00am. I gave him 1/2 is normal serving of food and a full bowl of water. When I got back around 3:00pm this afternoon both bowls were empty. I took him outside and he had loose stools. I gave him 3 more Propectalin. I filled up his water bowl and he had a little bit but not much. He has seemed pretty chill this afternoon and has mostly napped which is normal for him. However, when I took him back out this evening around 6:30pm he had very runny stools. It was a small amount but then he stood there for a few moments whining and there were drops of this clear-light brown liquid coming out. He is sleeping now. He hasn’t had any symptoms other than diarrhea. I’m not sure what to do or how to help him. I don’t want him to be miserable and I was hoping to ride this out until they get back tomorrow. Any advice would be so appreciated. Thank you.
