Hey everyone! I’m a Wayne State alum and I wanted to share something that genuinely helped me when I was going through tough classes like Microbiology and Basic Life Mechanisms.

I used Osmosis during my studies and it made a huge difference for me especially for breaking down dense topics into visuals and high-yield summaries that actually stick if you cram for exams (which I may or may not have done...).

The cool part is that you guys can get 2 weeks of Osmosis Plan access for free if you sign up through this link:

https://www.osmosis.org/invite/d8RM5J5

I figured I’d pass it along because I wish I had known about it earlier during my undergrad.

If you’re in those content-heavy classes right now, it might be worth trying out just to see if it fits your study style. Worst case, you don’t use it but at least you can check out something new!

Hey everyone!

I’m a high school senior planning to attend Wayne State University this fall on the pre-med track, and I’m really interested in majoring in neuroscience. I was hoping to connect with any current Wayne State students (especially neuroscience or pre-med) to hear about your experience!

I had a question about AP credits and course planning. In high school I took AP Chem, AP Bio, Calc, Psych, and Computer Science. WSU accepts AP credit for these toward the major, but I’m not sure how this plays out for medical school.

For anyone at WSUSOM (or who’s gone through pre-med):

Should I still take the full Gen Chem and Gen Bio sequences even if I have the AP credit?

Does Wayne Med accept AP credits for prerequisites, or is it risky since it’s “case-by-case”?

Would it be smarter to just retake them to be safe?

Any advice would be super helpful, I’m trying to plan things out early so I don’t mess anything up later. Thanks!!
