I'm making my graduation dress and I sketched out roughly what I wanted. I found the perfect pattern for the bust portion and bought it immediately (pic 1). My fault really for not looking closely at the other photos in the listing or reverse imaging searching before buying. The pattern is not like the picture which was taken from some other website (pic 2) It's similar but no where near as much of the gathering and ruching around the bust as I wanted, and it also doesn't twist it just gathers evenly and meets in the center.
does anyone know how to accomplish the bust area and also the sleeve on the left? Or any patterns that may steer me in the right direction? I also included my drawing of how I wanted my dress to look (pic 3). The top is modeled exactly after this shirt and I really hope to get at least the concept of it in my final dress. The twist in the middle would be cool too. If it helps I also have access to dress form, I have yet to learn how to drape but I fear that may be the solution here 🫠
