So im about 7 months into a weight loss journey. i was a massive 133kg at the start, didnt add any exercise or anything. My lifestyle stayed sedentary i just changed bad eating habits, and started eating healthier and put myself in a calorie deficit, calculated my TDEE which at the time was around 2500kcal so i put myself in a 1000kcal deficit (1500kcal daily).
1.5 months ago i decided to add exercise in, im now going to the gym 3 times a week and walking 10k steps a day. This has been a big change in my life as i went from completely sedentary to now being active everyday. Im currently sitting on 101kg, my friend mentioned BMR to me today and i went to calculate everything again including BMR this time:
TDEE: 2800 - 3000kcal - increased because of increased activity levels
BMR: 2064kcal
My daily caloric intake is 2000 calories since ive increased activity levels, im also hitting appropriate daily protein goals for my body. With all this information its safe to say im in quite an aggressive calorie deficit, its been working ive lost alot of weight and im putting on muscle. However ive done research and everything i have read online suggests i shouldnt eat below my BMR. Which i have been doing for a long time but ive only just found that out now. so im curious whether i need to change anything or continue what im doing seeing as its working?
