We moved to Minnesota last year and bought an old house without any filters or softeners. I’ve never had a home with a softener and honestly thought this was something extra OCD people got when they didn’t like water spots on things. Instead my hair went from something my husband was sure we could use as fishing line to molting from my head at unprecedented rates and my skin is doing all kinds of weird things.
Testing the water, hardness came back very high at 250+ and nitrites came back slightly elevated. PH is around 9.
I‘ve read thru lots of posts here hence the clack valve and water store quote but I need this issue wholly solved or I’m going to break (possibly literally). I tried asking follow up questions via email and wasn’t answered. So coming to the water gods for help.
