HMRC - Tax compliance (EO) progression prospects

I’m 24 and due to start the Tax compliance caseworker role which has training and development embedded throughout the 2 years. What are my career and progression prospects? Fastest way to G6/7/SCS?

What I don’t want is to end up in a dead end career either no progression stuck on £32k a year for the rest of my life.

HMRC Tax Compliance (EO) or Impact Graduate program?

Hi everyone, just seeking advice on if I should go for the HMRC Tax Compliance (EO) caseworker role or Impact Graduate program (LGA). Any advice would be much appreciated.

If I go for HMRC tax compliance (2 year training/development whilst working) , what is the progression like? I don’t want to end up in a dead end job with no progression, stuck on £32k a year. What available routes are there?

Impact is a 2 year program, continuing at the end depends on the council and available funding, job security at the end is not promised.

Met an awesome girl from Ningxia whilst in China, it’s kinda obvious we really like eachother. Now she tells me she doesn’t agree with the bride price, but says it’s 300,000 RMB (£30k) in her family. Now even for someone from the UK/US/Canada etc, that’s a huge amount of money. Is this true or am I being played (rinse the foreigner)?

Edit: she has 2 younger brothers and a younger sister - all are married
