I realize I probably messed up maybe by not wetting the siding first, but oxidation from around the window trim ended up on the Hardie board at a customer's house. It's stuck pretty quick. I think it was in the sun and by the time I noticed it was not coming off. I did manage to clean some of it off but where it was in the sun it wasn't budging with the cleaner I was using. Do you guys have any suggestions for how to get this off without messing up The Hardie board? Apparently last year the customer painted their house but did not paint the white trim around the windows and I think that's where the oxidation came from. I'm not 100% sure I caused it but I may have. I would like to try to remove it for the customer. What are you guys suggest? Preferably something I can spray on but I will climb ladders..
