As an outsider can someone explain the alphabet soup to me.
I'm so lost in half the posts because I don't understand what half the acronyms are and what level all of them are. I watched some MLS next games over the last week on YouTube thinking those kids would be awesome and was surprised to see a level of play similar to our club soccer here in Canada. Having said that we don't really have anything above club soccer at younger ages. Is there a graph or something somewhere that explains the hierarchy of it all for those of us on the outside trying to understand the posts?
I know this post comes off as complaining but I'm genuinely curious as to how it all works south of the border. A lot of kids from my area end up playing for U.S universities and I feel a better understanding of the system will help me.
It sounds like theres club, ecnl, town travel, MLS next, academy...and a bunch of others.
