'Peak' Jewish body says $600 million federal budget response to antisemitic Bondi terror attack 'modest'.

More than $207 million over five years, followed by $8.1 million per year thereafter, had been allocated to combat antisemitism and respond to recommendations made in a plan developed by Australia's special envoy to tackle the issue.

"We're working very closely with the Jewish Board of Deputies and others to make sure that the victims and the survivors — particularly the families of those who lost loved ones — are cared for, for the rest of their lives,"

Budget earmarks more than $600m for Bondi attack response, with half going to Australia’s Jewish community

The less than representative Executive Council of Australian Jewry, the self-proclaimed national peak body, will receive $124m for extra (private?) security.

Projects run by Jewish community organisations will receive $131m.

And the Royal Commission into Anti-semitism hasn't even presented it's report yet.

Royal Commissioner Virginia Bell has already indicated (sotto voce) that data presented to the RC as evidence may be deeply flawed.

But the government does not need evidence, the outcome of this Royal Commission was determined long before it began.

The Baka musicians from Gbiné have come a long way since the release of their last album Gati Bongo. Whereas none of them had ever performed outside their forest home before Gati Bongo was recorded, since it's release they have toured in UK, Belgium and Holland as well as around Cameroon and Congo. They have formed a tight rhythm section which melds with their polyphonic vocal harmonies to create their own unique style as can be heard on the new recording.
