Amazing Chicago Peace (and friends)

Actually in disbelief about how perfect this Chicago Peace bloom is. First bloom on this plant new to my garden.

Other varieties shown:

  • Mr. Lincoln
  • Rose de Rescht (first bloom)
  • Ancient Mariner (first bloom)
  • Princess Alexandra of Kent
  • Comte de Chambord (first blooms - so sweet and delicate!)
  • Double Delight

Zone 9B. Every morning I come out to a new spectacular suprise. All roses in containers - in a rental townhome! Most on a NE facing porch, some (hybrid teas) in sunnier spots around the unit. Incredible fragrance on all but Chicago - she's a looks girlie.

I got to perform the Sugarplum pas de deux with my husband this last weekend and wanted to share these photos with the community. The other photos are from our second (Don Q, June 2025) and first (Swan Lake, November 2024) performances together. It was a lot of fun to finally dance with him again after almost a year including a pointe transition for me and a Cavalier gig for him. We have both changed a ton in the meantime working with other dancers!

We are both 37 and will each have been dancing about 2 years this August. I'm glad we both stuck with it.
