GBT 5.5 dropped but no one told me about it

I'm signed up to a shitload of really good newsletters, but I'm also signed up to some of the worst "news" publications out there...

I mean some of just now finding out about open claw.

I was seriously disappointed when they couldn't even cover one of the biggest drops this month.

Half of AI news is just people repeating the same three headlines, and somehow the genuinely useful stuff is never talked about.

I don’t need another “AI is changing everything” paragraph. I ALREADY KNOW THAT... I READ THE X ARTICLE

I need someone to tell me what actually dropped, why it matters, and whether I should care before I find out about it 11 days later from some random Discord screenshot.

What are you guys reading that actually catches this stuff early?

I read way too much AI news every week. Here’s the 5% that actually matters.

I’ve noticed most AI “news” is basically the same 4 things recycled forever:

  1. Some new wrapper pretending it’s a company
  2. A model benchmark nobody outside Twitter cares about
  3. A founder saying “AI agents are here” for the 47th time
  4. Someone selling a course on prompts like it’s 2023

So I started judging everything with a simple rule:

Will this actually change how I work this week?

If yes, I care.

If no, i unsub (i know harsh, but I'm not going to waste my time reading bs)

Usually I end up with stuff like this each week:

  • A model got cheaper
  • A tool added a feature that replaces 3 annoying steps
  • A workflow became possible for non-technical people
  • A business owner can now automate something without hiring a dev
  • A free tool quietly became better than the paid one

Also some other questions you can ask is:

Can I use it by Tuesday?

Would I pay for it?

Would I recommend it to a normal business owner without sounding like a crypto guy?

Is it actually new, or just a rebranded ChatGPT button?

Do you guys have any other newsletters that you recommend? I'm always looking for good ones

Asked AI to pressure test my startup idea the way a VC who hates it would. Saved me about 6 months
